Vertu Ascent Ti Ferrari Phones
For those with a taste for “top of the line” gadgets, meet the brand new $6,000+ range of Ferrari branded phones from Nokia’s luxury brand, Vertu.
The standalone English based offshoot of Nokia has built up an enviable reputation for producing the finest hand built handsets available in just 4 or 5 years and these latest Ascent Ti models live up to that standard. Crafted from titanium, custom shaped to mimic Ferrari body styling, and trimmed with the same leather found in the cars. Three models hit the shops this week, the Nero, Rosso, and Giallo, in black, red, and yellow color schemes, respectively.
The Ascent Ti Ferrari range features quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support, in addition to UMTS (2100MHz) support for worldwide connectivity. A 3 megapixel camera with autofocus is also on board, paired with 4GB of internal storage. Bluetooth is also built-in, in addition to a micro USB port for PC connections. They come loaded with real Ferrari F430 and 612 Scaglietti engine sounds, as well as a suite of custom ringtones composed by Dave Stewart of The Eurythmics.
Retail Price is quoted as US$6,600.
